Yaki Sugi: Day 07

We have finished the burn.  Seven days of burning, brushing, poly-coating, wiping and stacking. We've made it.  Thanks so much to Tyler for all of his hard work figuring out best practices for this process.  Thanks also to John Moore, Ilana Percher, Martha McQuade, Caitlin Dippo, Morgan Peterson, and Hakim Ali for joining us today.  We certainly couldn't have wrapped up the process on Day 07 without you!  

Martha and Caitlin get right to it.  Despite failing propane torches, they create a deep char and discover that charring all at once is much faster than charring incrementally in layers.
